Plunge, scoop, halter or one shoulder: what each neckline does, and how to choose the one you will reach for every summer.
Start with what you love
The best swimsuit is the one you forget you are wearing. Think about how you spend a beach day, swimming laps, lying in the sun or chasing children along the shore, before you think about trends.
Look at the details
A lined front, strong seams and straps you can adjust make more difference than any print. Fabric with a little weight holds its shape, wet or dry.
- Rinse your swimsuit in fresh water after every swim.
- Dry it flat in the shade, never wrung out.
- Keep one cover-up in the bag for lunch.

Mix and match
Bikini tops and bottoms in plain colours go with almost every print, and a kimono turns a swimsuit into an outfit.
Pack less, wear it more.
